Discover UCI as an Out-of-State Applicant
Ready to launch your future at a top 10 public university? Learn more about life at UCI and applying as an out-of-state student.
Virtual Events for Out-of-State Students
Join us for a virtual event specifically for out-of-state applicants, including UCI info sessions, application workshops, and live student panels. Many events include live question and answer sessions with UCI admissions counselors.
Out-of-State Admissions Requirements
UCI will not consider SAT or ACT scores for admission or scholarship purposes. After enrollment, exams may be used for class placement or some graduation requirements. We do expect out-of-state applicants to have at least a 3.4 weighted GPA, and a variety of challenging coursework that they have completed throughout high school. Our comprehensive review process allows us to evaluate each applicant’s academic and extracurricular accomplishments within their individual context.
Important Dates and Deadlines
The UC Application must be submitted between November 1 and 30. Students interested in our Campuswide Honors Collegium, and dance and music applicants, will need to take additional steps. Mark your calendar with important UCI dates and deadlines.
