Thank you for your interest in the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing. The school promises an enriching and rigorous experience to admitted students who prepare to obtain a baccalaureate degree in Nursing Science. UCI faculty requires applicants submit both the: (1) UC Application and (2) UCI Nursing Science Supplemental Application by November 30. Please follow the general guidelines below while you complete each step of the application. We look forward to reviewing your application, and appreciate your interest in the program.

Freshman: Please complete this application as a freshman if you are graduating from high school spring 2019, or have graduated high school and have not enrolled in any college courses (except for summer session).

Transfer: Please complete this application as a transfer student if you are transferring from a college or university and have completed IGETC and/or an Associate's degree, and have the UCI prerequisite courses at least one-half to two-thirds complete at the time of application. The minimum GPA required is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Science Curriculum: Please indicate biology and chemistry courses taken in high school.

Volunteer Work and Work History: List any/all volunteer work and work history, even if you have not had experience in health care.

Prerequisite Courses: All prerequisite courses must either be completed, in progress or planned at the time of application. Applicants can take a maximum of three prerequisite courses in summer prior to fall entry. All prerequisite courses must be completed prior to fall entry. To locate prerequisite courses at California Community Colleges, please use assist.org. Select the community college, UCI, and Nursing Science for the major.

Transfer students will be selected based on their UC Application and their UCI Nursing Science Supplemental Application. An interview may be required.
NOTE: Students must meet UC eligibility before they will be considered for the Nursing Science major. Admission to UCI does not guarantee admission to the Nursing Science major.
