Welcome to UCI's new student orientation!
Check out our programs for incoming freshmen and transfer students.
We are thrilled to have you join the Anteater family!
As an incoming freshman, you must attend an orientation session. You will receive academic advising, register for courses, get important information on student resources and services, and have lots of opportunities to make new friends.
As an incoming transfer student, orientation is optional, but a great deal of helpful information will be shared. The school of your major will be emailing you with more information about academic advising.
Grab your spot in one of our virtual summer orientation programs!
It’s mandatory for all incoming freshmen to attend one of the following applicable orientation programs.
Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP) — This program is UCI’s college orientation for U.S. high school graduates. This mandatory event is held several times throughout the summer. For more information on SPOP dates, see the schedule here.
International Student Parent Orientation (ISOP) Program — This program is mandatory for international freshmen who have little or no experience in the United States.
Transfer Student Parent Orientation Program (TSPOP) — This program is campus orientation for transfer students. TSPOP will be held several times throughout the summer and highly recommended for transfer students.
