All official documents are required for our admissions verification process, and every effort should be made to submit them from one of the options as listed below. 

  • Official Documents Next Steps

    Upon receipt of your documents, your official transcripts will be compared to both your application and the transcripts submitted by your school. Discrepancies and deficient grades may result in your offer of admission being withdrawn, even if UCI classes have already started. Please refer to your provisional contract and/or conditions as listed in your portal. 
  • Electronically: UCI's Office of Undergraduate Admissions will primarily be accepting documents in an online format. Please find a list of vendors and methods below:

    *We will accept documents sent by National Student Clearinghouse and ask that they are sent to oars-records@uci.edu.

    **Naviance transcripts are only accepted through Parchment

    ***Available for high school students only

    ****Available for high school students only; Slate.Org is a platform for your high school counselor to upload your official transcript

    If your school is unable to submit official transcripts electronically through the vendors listed above, we will accept verified electronic copies of your transcripts and other documents via email. They must be:

    1. Submitted by your school officials (i.e. administrators, counselors, etc.) through a school domain email address
    2. Sent to oars-records@uci.edu with this text in the subject line: ATTENTION OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

    Note: Documents that are not submitted by a school official using a school domain email address will not be accepted as official.

    If you are unable to send official documents through any of the methods listed above, please contact your Admissions counselor through your UCI Admitted Student Portal.

    To check whether your transcripts have been received please refer to your UCI Admitted Student Portal.

  • ACT and SAT Scores:

    If you would like to use any of the ACT or SAT examinations you took towards your class placement or future graduation requirements please request for the test scores to be sent directly to UC Irvine.

    Institutions Codes for UCI:

    • SAT - 004859

    AP or IB Scores:

    If you passed any Advanced Placement (AP) or higher level International Baccalaureate (IB) exams you must have official results sent to UCI by the testing agency to receive credit. Provided we receive your official results, credit from these exams should appear on your record sometime during your first term at UCI.

    A-level Results

    Students must submit their final external examination results as soon as they become available. All final results must be sent from the testing service.

  • Freshman Checklist Items

    You can find a list of possible items found on freshman students' checklists below. To know which are required for you, please visit the checklist section of your Admitted Student Portal.
  • Final High School Transcript:

      • The transcript must show your entire high school academic history from grades 9-12 and graduation date.

    Non-U.S. High School:

      • If you attended a non U.S. high school prior to your final transcript from (10-12) then we will need the transcripts from these schools as well.

    Colleges/Universities:

      • If you took courses at a college or university, official transcripts from those schools are required even if the courses  appear on your high school transcript. 
      • Please let us know as soon as possible if you have enrolled at a college or university not originally listed in your application. 
      • If you completed college coursework in the summer 2021 term you must send us an official transcript with your summer grades by September 15, 2021.

    Test Scores:

      • Please message your counselor through your portal if you will not be taking exams previously reported on your application.
      • All higher level International Baccalaureate (IB) exams are required to be submitted to UC Irvine. 
  • Final High School Transcript:

      • Official secondary school records (transcripts) must be sent from your school or appropriate authority to verify your courses along with your graduation date. 

      • If your secondary school transcript does not contain a graduation date, please submit a copy of your graduation certificate or diploma certified by your school with the transcript. 

    Colleges/Universities:

      • If you took courses at a college or university, official transcripts from those schools are required even if the courses appear on your secondary school transcript.

      • Please let us know as soon as possible if you have enrolled at a college or university not originally listed in your application. 

      • If you completed college coursework in the summer 2021 term you must send us an official transcript with your summer grades by September 15, 2021.

    External exam results:

      • We understand that external examinations such as IB and A levels may be cancelled and the examination boards are working closely with high schools to provide students with final results. We require students to submit their final external examination results as soon they become available. In addition, students must submit their transcripts from their high schools including predicted results.

      • Students must submit their final external examination grades as soon as they become available. All final results must be sent from the testing agency.

      • For results not available by July 15, provisional results will be accepted in the summer until official certified results are available in the fall.

    Additional Test Scores:

      • Please message your counselor through your portal if you will not be taking exams previously reported on your application.

      • All exams (with the exception of ACT and SAT) taken prior to 2021 are required to be submitted to UC Irvine.

  • Transfer Checklist Items

    You can find a list of possible transfer checklist items below. To know which are required for you, please visit the checklist section of your Admitted Student Portal.

  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities are required by July 1, 2021, even if you have summer 2021 courses in progress. 

    If you complete coursework in the summer 2021 term you must submit an updated official transcript with your final summer grades by  September 15, 2021. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have summer 2021 enrollment at any college or university not originally listed in your application.
  • New transfer students are not required to submit official high school transcripts, unless otherwise stated. However, some courses taken during high school can be used to fulfill UCI general education requirements (e.g., Language other than English, American History and Institutions). If you would like to use your high school record to receive credit for these requirements you must submit the official transcript through the vendors listed above.
  • All AP, IB, or A level exams with passing scores must be submitted to UCI.

    If your most recent AP exam was over four years ago, your AP scores have been archived by CollegeBoard and may take longer to be sent to UCI. Make sure to request your archived scores as soon as possible to ensure that we receive them by the deadline.
  • IGETC certifications are not required by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. However, if you have fully or partially completed IGETC and would like to use it to satisfy UCI general education requirements, your school administration or counselor can submit the official certification through the vendors listed above.
  • Notes for Students

    • Transcripts are due by July 1, unless otherwise stated.

    • Please let us know of any names that appear on previous records if they differ from the names you provided on your application form.
