COVID-19 Update: All official documents are required for our Admissions verification process, and every effort should be made to submit them from one of the options as listed below. However, we understand it may be difficult to obtain some of these official documents during this time, so we are providing additional methods for document submission.

  • Official Documents Next Steps

    Upon receipt of your documents, your official transcripts will be compared to your application. Discrepancies and deficient grades may result in your offer of admission being withdrawn, even if UCI classes have already started. Please refer to your provisional contract and conditions as listed in your portal.
  • Sending Transcripts

    Electronically: Due to COVID-19 UCI's Office of Undergraduate Admissions will primarily be accepting documents in an online format. Please find a list of vendors and methods below:

    * Documents sent by National Student Clearinghouse must be sent to

    **Naviance transcripts are only accepted through Parchment.

    If your school is unable to submit official transcripts electronically through the vendors listed above, we will temporarily accept verified electronic copies of your transcripts and other documents via email. They must be:

      1. Submitted by your school officials (i.e. administrators, counselors, etc) through a school domain email address.
      2. Sent to with this text in the subject line: ATTENTION OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

    If you are unable to send official documents through any of the methods listed above, please contact your Admissions counselor through your UCI Admitted Student Portal. Additional next steps to submit documents temporarily will be provided through the communication with your assigned Admissions counselor.

    To see whether your transcripts and test scores have been received please refer to your UCI Applicant Portal.

    Note: although some academic units will accept unofficial transcripts for advising purposes, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions requires official transcripts.

  • Sending Test Scores

    Due to the delay testing companies are experiencing when sending scores to campuses, you will not be penalized if scores are received after our initial deadline of July 15.

    AP or IB Scores

    If you passed any Advanced Placement (AP) or higher level International Baccalaureate (IB) exams you must have official results sent to UCI by the testing agency to receive credit. Provided we receive your official results, credit from these exams should appear on your record sometime during your first term at UCI.

  • Checklist Items

    You can find a list of possible checklist items below. To know which are required for you, please visit the checklist section of your Admitted Student Portal.
    • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities where courses were taken through Spring 2020 are required by July 1, 2020. 
    Note: IGETC certifications are not required by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. If you have fully or partially completed IGETC and would like to use it to satisfy UCI general education requirements, your school administration or counselor can submit the official certification through the vendors listed above.
  • New transfer students are not required to submit official high school transcripts, unless otherwise stated. However, some courses taken during high school can be used to fulfill UCI general education requirements (e.g., Language other than English, American History and Institutions). If you would like to use your high school record to receive credit for these requirements you must submit the official transcript.
  • All AP, IB, or A level exams with passing scores must be submitted to UCI.
  • Notes for Students

    • Transcripts are due by July 1, unless otherwise stated.

    • Please let us know of any names that appear on previous records if they differ from the names you provided on your application form.
